Latasha Barnes joined Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Inc. (LSEM) in June 2009 as a Child Health Advocate with the Children’s Health Advocacy Project (CHAP). CHAP is a medical-legal partnership between local legal and medical providers designed to eliminate barriers to health and well-being. Barnes advises, counsels, and represents clients in a wide variety of cases. She also conducts training and educational sessions with participating health care providers on legal and social determinants of health. Education: J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009; B.A. in Political Science, concentration in Criminal Justice, from University of Georgia in 2005.
