Jon Althauser began with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) in 1999 as a staff attorney with the Lasting Solutions Project. He initially represented victims of domestic violence in adult abuse actions and other family law matters. He was successful in establishing case law that allows LSEM and other low-income litigants throughout the State of Missouri access to the courts without financial burden of filing fees and other court costs. In 2002, Althauser became the managing attorney of the Outreach Office in Union, Missouri, which covers the counties of Franklin, Warren and Washington. Along with his responsibilities as managing attorney, he continues to represent clients with all types of legal matters, including family law, housing, and education issues. Althauser is also a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Education: J.D. in 1997 from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of law; B.A. in Psychology in 1993 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
