Here at LSEM, we provide free quality civil (non-criminal) legal services to low-income individuals and the elderly to promote equal access to justice. We help our client families attain benefits and services that allow them to navigate the treacherous waters of poverty - helping them to solve survival related legal issues. These are issues that can mean the difference between affording food, needed medicine, or school shoes for their child, versus NOT being able to provide these very basic things.
There are thousands of low-income families who are struggling with life-altering issues such as domestic violence, lack of access to healthcare, or the absence of safe, affordable housing. They can feel hopeless, like there is no help in sight.
For more than 58 years, LSEM has been a beacon of hope for many of our low-income neighbors in the twenty one counties that we serve, providing them with civil legal services, free of charge.
In these uncertain economic times, LSEM counts on your support – now more than ever!
